Support Farmland Preservation in Connecticut

The Connecticut Farmland Trust is the only private statewide organization dedicated solely to permanently protecting Connecticut's farmland.

CFT works directly with farmers who wish to protect their land and ensure it remains available for farming in perpetuity. We leverage public funds and private donations to acquire agricultural conservation easements. With your help, the Connecticut Farmland Trust provides farm families with financially sensible alternatives to development.

We also partner with local land trusts, town officals, and the state's Farmland Preservation Program to save the farms and farming communities that enhance our quality of life. CFT has become a leading source of technical expertise on conserving Connecticut's farmland.

Since its founding in 2002, the Connecticut Farmland Trust has protected thirteen active farms totaling more than 1,080 acres around the state.

Support the CFT's Farmland Conservation Program

Your support of the Conservation Program will enable the Connecticut Farmland Trust to raise public awareness and support of farmland preservation and to carry out outreach and education to farmers and landowners, towns, and other land trusts wishing to preserve farmland.

... with your contribution to the Connecticut Farmland Trust's Farmland Acquisition Fund. This fund is used to leverage public and private resources to help farmers preserve their land for agriculture.
